PROGRAMS & CLASSES
Healthy Eating, Activity, Lifestyle (HEAL) Program
This program is making a difference for people living with chronic conditions. Participants work side by side our Exercise Physiologist to make healthier lifestyle choices.
The Healthy Eating, Activity, Lifestyle (HEAL) program is licensed and used by Exercise and Sport Science Australia and works to put clients in the driver’s seat so they can take control of their health.
Our Exercise Physiologist delivers this eight-week program in the Ipswich and Somerset regions to assist people living with chronic conditions such as type 2 diabetes and heart disease.
"HEAL has a no-diet philosophy and focuses on what clients can do as opposed to what they can’t do"
TYPE 2 DIABETES CLASSES
This program is delivered in our clinic and is helping people specifically living with Type 2 Diabetes to manage their blood sugars effectively with an hour of supervised, evidence-based exercise (including a slow warm-up and cool-down). Participants work with our Exercise Physiologist to increase their physical activity, and learn what they can do outside of the classes to optimize their sugar levels through increasing their physical activity and exercise safely and for their health concerns.

There are timeslots offered for this program weekly with a maximum of 12 people per class. Once your subsidised services have been used up you are more than welcome to continue to attend the classes for a very reasonable fee. For more information please contact us.

Participants can self-refer to this program or be referred by their GP or specialist with a referral letter. The cost for this session is currently $12/session/person. Bookings are essential to avoid unsafe numbers and limited spaces for this program are available.
